Habitat: On soil in woodland, parkland or gardens, often coastal in distribution.

Notes: Rarely reported. Possibly native in the south of Britain, or an old introduction. Slowly spreading in England and reported from Warwickshire to West Cornwall. A single record from the Republic of Ireland (Dublin: Clontarf) and old records from Scotland. R.
