The recording of Agarics only shows significant increase after the formation of the FRDBI and, particularly in the last few years, since the formation of the local recording groups. Increases in the number of names added to the British list can be seen before 1910 and the mid 50's and 60's. An expected correlation with the publication of Rea's British Basidiomycetaceae in 1922 is not present although the publication of the New Check List in 1960 clearly had an effect.
